I believe the root of the problem is that legislators, bureaucrats and judiciary are all on a power trip, and all are equally intent on claiming as much authority over the hoi polloi as they can arrange. They have all lost sight of the fact that they are supposedly merely servants, and unfortunately the degree of apathy in this country is such that misuse of power has become endemic. I would dearly love to know how we can reclaim our rightful control over our servants; because its blatantly obvious that none of the conventional methods work. Maybe we need to consider certain historical events that occurred in Russia, France and North America.
